Aran Raoufi's work experience includes being a Quantitative Researcher at Citadel Securities since November 2019. Prior to that, they were a Post Doc at ETH Zurich from October 2018 to November 2019. Aran also worked as a Quantitative Researcher at Pictet Asset Management from June 2018 to September 2018. Before that, they were a PhD Researcher at Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques from September 2016 to June 2018, where they received the Best Ph.D. thesis award in 2017 for probability theory and statistics in France. Aran also worked as a PhD Researcher and Instructor at the University of Geneva from September 2014 to September 2016.

Aran Raoufi's education history starts with their high school education at the National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents (Sampad) from 2003 to 2007. Following that, they obtained two Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Tehran. From 2007 to 2012, they studied Computer Engineering, and from 2008 to 2012, they pursued Mathematics. After completing their undergraduate studies, they went on to obtain a Master of Science degree in Mathematics from Sharif University of Technology from 2012 to 2014. Finally, they pursued their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics at the Institut des Hautes Études Scientifiques, which they completed in 2017.
