Tanya Pérez EcheverrÃa has had a diverse and extensive work experience. Tanya is currently serving as the Board Chair of the Jane Goodall Institute Global, where they have also held roles such as Executive Committee Member, Co-Chair of the Global Roots & Shoots Committee, and Board Trustee. Tanya has been involved in overseeing a global community of international Chapters and planning for the future of the organization. Tanya has also served as the Secretary General / Chief Executive Officer of CISV International and as a Member of ACEVO.
In addition to their nonprofit work, Tanya has had experience in the corporate sector. Tanya has worked as the President of the Jane Goodall Institute Belgium, where they focused on tree planting activities, animal protection, and youth empowerment. Prior to that, they worked at BNP Paribas Fortis as a Sr Credit Analyst, handling various credit-related roles. Tanya also worked at Toyota Motor Europe as a Senior Financial Analyst and at Citi as a Relationship Management Associate.
Tanya's early career includes a role as a Process Engineer at Proyecta. Tanya has a breadth of experience in finance, management, and leadership, with a strong focus on nonprofit and environmental advocacy.
Tanya Pérez EcheverrÃa obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Process Technology from Universidad Simón BolÃvar. Tanya attended this university from 1992 to 1998. Later, they pursued their Master of Business Administration (MBA) in General Management at the University of Virginia Darden School of Business. This degree was completed between the years 2000 and 2002.
