Takeem Owens has a diverse work experience in product design and UX/UI design roles.
Starting in 2016, Takeem worked as a UI/UX Designer at 4 Square Agency, overseeing the launch of web design projects and utilizing a systematic design process for successful outcomes.
In 2017, Takeem joined My Daily Brand as a UI/UX Designer, where they designed web projects, created packaging and brand collateral, and conducted stakeholder reviews and presentations.
In 2018, Takeem worked as a UX Designer at American Airlines, where they designed email flows and mobile/desktop versions, addressing customer pain points. This work originated from a design challenge.
In 2019, Takeem had two roles as a Senior UX Designer at Unioncrate and a Product Designer at Spruce. At Unioncrate, they contributed to an AI supply chain platform, working with CPG brands. At Spruce, they collaborated closely with product managers, engineers, and the VP of Product to build and enhance product features for real estate services.
In 2019, Takeem briefly worked as a UI Designer at Incedo Inc., creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, and prototypes for clients like Kraton and Verizon.
From 2021 to 2022, Takeem served as a Senior Product Designer at Prudential Financial, leading the design initiative for Pipeline Management on the Retirement Services team.
In 2020, Takeem joined Designed.org as a Design Mentor, helping to empower designers through educational tools and mentoring.
In 2022, Takeem transitioned to Disney Streaming as a Senior Product Designer, contributing to the streaming platform's wide library of on-demand shows and movies.
Currently, Takeem works as a Senior Product Designer at Cision, utilizing their design skills and expertise.
Takeem Owens obtained a Certification in Human Computer Interaction from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 2018. In addition, Takeem obtained three additional certifications: Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner from IBM in May 2020, Agile Product Owner Role: Foundations from LinkedIn in July 2019, and Metrics for Product Managers from LinkedIn in July 2019.
