N. Katherine Cortes has a diverse work experience history. In 2008, they started as a Customer Service Supervisor at BILATERAL and worked there until 2010. From 2010 to 2011, they participated in the Work and Travel program at YMCA of the Rockies. In 2010, they also joined Instituto Meyer Bogota as an English Instructor and stayed there until 2012. In 2012, they participated in the AU Pair program in Germany through Au Pair International. From 2014 to 2017, they worked as an English Instructor at Xchange Language Services GmbH & Co. KG. In 2016, they interned at the Argentinian Consulate. In 2016 again, they started working at PRIME Research, initially as a Research Analyst until 2017, then moved to the role of Project Assistant until 2018. From 2018 to 2019, they worked as a Lead Analyst and Project Assistant, and later became a Project Manager at the same company. Most recently, they joined Cision in 2022 as a Research Analyst.

N. Katherine Cortes completed their Master's degree in Politische Ökonomie und Internationale Beziehungen from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz between 2020 and 2023. Prior to that, from 2015 to 2019, they pursued a degree in Political Science and Cultural Anthropologie at the same university. In 2014-2015, they engaged in a DSH Vorbereitungskurs at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. As for their earlier education, between 2006 and 2011, they attended Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas, where they focused on Teaching English as a Second or Foreign Language/ESL Language Instruction.
