Pradip Fopse

Machine Learning and Data Engineer at CirrusLabs

Pradip Fopse has a diverse background in the field of technology, with experience ranging from machine learning and data engineering to software development and IT consulting.

Starting in 2006, Pradip worked as an IT Consultant at Logica, where they focused on understanding high-level design, creating low-level design documents, writing SQL stored procedures and views, coding business logic, handling browser compatibility, designing user interfaces, and conducting unit testing.

In 2010, Pradip joined Bally Technologies as a Senior Software Developer. In this role, they were responsible for understanding business requirements, creating high-level and low-level design, writing SQL stored procedures, implementing the MVVM pattern, feasibility studies of mapping APIs, implementing business logic using C#, integrating WCF services with the UI, unit testing, creating SQL reports and automating the editing process, reviewing product documentation and code, and making UI modifications using Adobe Flex.

During their time at Bally Technologies, Pradip also served as a Machine Learning and Cognitive Services Engineer at Microsoft, starting in November 2018. In this role, they conducted architectural reviews of customer environments, analyzed and corrected errors, improved team processes, delivered trainings, mentored and hired team members, led the technical team, provided consultation on Azure Machine Learning and Cognitive Services, and worked with various technologies such as Azure AutoML, MLFlow, Form Recognizer, Computer Vision, Speech and Language services, and OpenAI services. Pradip also deployed models and ran containers on Azure Kubernetes and Azure container instance.

Additionally, Pradip led the Microsoft Office Development team for 5 years, starting in 2010. In this position, they supervised a team of 10 members working on Office development using .Net and JavaScript, and focused on office automation and the development of Office addins.

Most recently, Pradip joined CirrusLabs in 2023 as a Machine Learning and Data Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for implementing Azure ML and Azure cognitive services, implementing MLOps best practices, developing chat bots using BERT, RASA, and NLTK, conducting intent and sentiment analysis for live and post-call analysis, deploying models to Kubernetes, and consuming the deployed models as REST endpoints.

Pradip Fopse has a diverse education history with a focus on technology and artificial intelligence. In 2002, they began their education at Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Bachelor of Technology degree in Electrical Engineering, completing it in 2006.

After working for several years, Pradip continued their education in 2013 at the Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Pradip completed a certificate program in Management of Software Development, which emphasized General Management Information Systems. This program lasted from 2013 to 2014.

In 2019, Pradip enrolled at the International Institute of Information Technology Bangalore. Pradip pursued a Postgraduate Diploma in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, which they successfully completed in 2021.

Continuing their academic journey, Pradip is currently attending Liverpool John Moores University, where they are studying for a Master of Science degree in Artificial Intelligence. This program began in 2021 and is expected to conclude in 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Pradip has obtained several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In November 2019, they became a Prosci® Certified Change Practitioner through Prosci. Pradip also holds Microsoft certifications, including Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, obtained in April 2020, Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate, obtained in March 2023, and Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate, also obtained in March 2023.
