Joel James is a seasoned software engineer with extensive experience in application development and mobile platform development. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineer at New Relic, Inc. since October 2022 and at Cirium since April 2018, Joel has previously held senior roles at Cox Automotive Inc. and LocalMed. Proficient in designing and developing RESTful services using various programming languages and frameworks, including Python and Ruby, Joel has experience with diverse datastores and CI/CD systems. Additionally, Joel's background includes developing data ETL software, integrating appointment scheduling systems, and contributing to climate data applications during a tenure at the Southern Regional Climate Center. Joel holds an MS in Industrial Engineering with a concentration in IT from Louisiana State University and a BE in Automobile Engineering from Visvesvaraya Technological University.
