Barbara Velasco is an accomplished academic and practitioner in the fields of art and education, currently serving as an Ordinary Professor PhD at Centro Universitario La Salle, focusing on Artistic, Plastic and Visual Education. In addition to academic responsibilities, Barbara is an Associate Researcher at CÃrculo de Bellas Artes within the Horizon 2020 MSCA Project, "Failure, Reversing the Genealogies of the Unsuccess, 16th-19th Centuries" (REVFAIL). With extensive experience in teaching, including master classes on engraving at Escuela SUR, Barbara has also contributed to various organizations as a Graphic Designer and Art Curator, showcasing expertise in contemporary art and practical pedagogy. Barbara holds a PhD in Sociology and Anthropology, along with multiple degrees in Fine Arts and Photography, further demonstrating a strong educational foundation that supports a rich career in both research and artistic critique.
