Lisette (Liz) Lockhart has a strong background in software development and research, with experience in machine learning. Lisette (Liz) began their career at Juan de Fuca Minor Hockey Association and Victoria Minor Hockey Association as an Ice Hockey Official from 2009 to 2013. Lisette (Liz) then transitioned to Simon Fraser University as a Research Assistant in the Laboratory for Robotic Vision from 2018 to 2021. Currently, Liz holds a position at Circle Cardiovascular Imaging, starting as a Machine Learning Software Developer in 2020 and later moving up to become the Lead Research Software Developer in 2022, specializing in machine learning projects.

Lisette (Liz) Lockhart completed their Bachelor of Engineering (BEng) - Co-op in Electrical Engineering with a Biomedical Option from the University of Victoria in 2018. Lisette (Liz) then went on to pursue a Master of Applied Science (MASc) in Engineering Science at Simon Fraser University, graduating in 2021. In July 2021, they obtained the Certified ScrumMaster® (CSM®) certification from Scrum Alliance.
