Andrew Havens has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Andrew started their career as a Music Tech for the East Coast Jazz Festival in 2003, where they operated the soundboard and collaborated on optimizing live sound recording. In 2005, they worked as a Construction Worker for Barber Construction Company, assisting electricians and plumbers and wiring a $1.3 million house. Andrew then gained experience in programming and data manipulation as a Programmer Intern at NASA Langley Research Center from 2007 to 2008. During this time, they presented their work to NASA HQ and acquired and manipulated satellite datasets. In 2008, Andrew interned as an Engineer at Christopher Newport University, participating in the design of an autonomous solution for groundwater monitoring. Andrew continued their internship journey at NASA Langley Research Center in 2009, serving as a DEVELOP Intern-Researcher. Here, they researched advancements in cognitive computing and supported the Office of the Chief Information Officer. In 2010, Andrew moved to Northrop Grumman Information Systems as a Software Engineer, and for two years, they contributed to software development. Their most recent position is as a Reverse Engineer at Cipher Tech Solutions, Inc. since 2012.
Between the years 2004 and 2009, Andrew Havens pursued their Bachelor of Science degree at Christopher Newport University. During this time, they focused on the field of Computer Engineering and Computer Science.
