Oscar Ribeiro is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in education and research, currently serving as an Assistant Professor at the Universidade de Aveiro since September 2004, where duties include directing the Doctoral Program on Gerontology and Geriatrics and coordinating CINTESIS. Additionally, Oscar Ribeiro holds positions as an Adjunct Professor at the School of Health Sciences (ESSUA) and as an Affiliated Professor at ICBAS/UP. A researcher at CINTESIS since January 2015, Oscar Ribeiro also has a background in psychology, having worked as an Assistant Professor at the Instituto Superior de Serviço Social do Porto and as a psychologist/writer-editor for Psiquilibrios. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Biomedical Sciences from Universidade do Porto, a Post-Graduation in Gerontology from Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, and a degree in Psychology from Universidade do Minho.
