Jessica Hur has worked in various roles since 2009. Jessica began as a Summer Intern at the San Jose Water Company in 2009 and 2010, where they created macros to simplify the access to customer informational spreadsheets, developed instructive videos for senior staffs and supervisors, and worked in customer service and HR department in data updating and review. In 2012, they worked as an Undergraduate Researcher at Michel's Lab, UC Berkeley, where they created beetle muscle recording pads, designed a carbon nanotube filtering system, and redesigned dragonfly headpieces to simplify control circuit board. In 2013, they worked as a Project Engineer at Intervotion LLC, where they managed project workflow and processed imagery for school districts’ floor plan integration. In 2014, they worked as an Accident Biomechanic Analyst at Biomedical Forensics. From 2016 to 2017, they worked as a Software Engineer at Samsung Electronics America, where they built NodeJS REST APIs as a middle-tier to reconfigure crude data from Java backend and reduce calculations for AngularJS frontend, created, restructured and refactored Gulp tasks, and debugged and fixed code. Since 2017, they have been working as a Software Engineer at Cinnafilm, Inc.
Jessica Hur's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from UC Berkeley from 2011 to 2013, followed by a Certificate of Full-stack JavaScript Developer from Code Fellows from 2015 to 2016. Prior to that, they studied Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Mission College from 2008 to 2011. Jessica also has additional certifications in Neural Networks and Deep Learning from Coursera obtained in September 2022, and Machine Learning from Coursera obtained in July 2022.
