John Stowell currently serves as a Commissioner for the Clermont County Park District in Ohio since January 2021 and has been an Adviser for the Xavier Newswire student newspaper at Xavier University since February 2015. Stowell has experience as a Freelance Writer for Cincinnati Magazine since September 2014. Previously, Stowell had a distinguished career at Duke Energy Corporation, where roles included Vice President of International Stakeholder Relations and Vice President of Energy and Environmental Policy, focusing on policy development concerning various environmental issues. Stowell also held the position of Vice President of Environmental Policy at Cinergy Corporation and served as Director of Federal Affairs at PSI Energy. Stowell's early career included roles as Press Secretary and Legislative Assistant for U.S. Representative Elwood Hillis and as a Reporter for Kokomo Tribune. Stowell holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Political Science from Michigan State University.
