Katie Simon has a strong background in public health and data analysis. Katie started their career as a research assistant at The Ohio State University in 2001, where they worked until 2004. In 2005, they worked as an epidemiologist at the Ohio Department of Health before moving on to CSC, where they held the role of Public Health Scientist from 2005 to 2007. At CSC, they managed tasks and resources for the Public Health Surveillance component of the Water Security Initiative. From 2007 to 2009, Katie worked as an epidemiologist at Hamilton County Public Health, where they performed infectious disease outbreak investigations and managed and analyzed injury data. In 2010, they joined CSC again as a Public Health Scientist until 2012. In 2012, Katie joined Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center as a Senior Analyst, and later became the Lead Analyst - Quality, where they managed a team and provided system-wide quality improvement and decision management support.
Katie Simon completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from Denison University in 2001. Katie then pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Epidemiology at The Ohio State University from 2002 to 2004.
