Per Clausen began their work experience in 1995 as a Software Engineer at Grundfos, where they worked until 1998. Per then joined Resource Software Engineering in 1998 and held the position of Software Engineer until 2000. In 2000, Clausen joined CIM Industrial Systems as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2014, they transitioned to A.P. Moller - Maersk, where they worked as a Senior Software Architect/Engineer (consultant) until December 2022.

Per Clausen attended the Engineering College of Aarhus from 1992 to 1995, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Electronics.
