David Barnabas has a diverse work experience in the field of laboratory and biosafety services. From 2016 to the present, they have been with CIHPNG, where they initially served as a Senior Laboratory Services Associate before progressing to roles such as Senior Laboratory Services Officer and Laboratory Services Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director/Head, overseeing the laboratory and biosafety services. Prior to CIHPNG, David worked as a Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist at Barau Dikko Teaching Hospital, Kaduna State Ministry of Health from 2010 to 2016. In 2015, they briefly served as a State Logistics Advisor at JSI | John Snow, Inc., providing technical assistance and support in supply chain management for health programs. David also worked as a GoN-SIT Medical Laboratory Officer at SIDHAS, FHI360 from 2011 to 2013.
David Barnabas has a degree in Public Health from the University of Suffolk. David also holds a B.MLS degree from Ambrose Alli University. In addition to their formal education, David has obtained several certifications, including "Essential Lessons for First-Time Managers," "Excel: Creating a Basic Dashboard," "Leadership: Practical Skills," "Managing Conflict: A Practical Guide to Resolution in the Workplace (getAbstract Summary)," "Mindsets and Strategies for Negotiation Success," "Productive Leadership," "Associate" from MLSCN, and they are also a member of the Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria. The certifications were obtained in November 2022.
