Ahmed Darwish currently serves as Principal Product/Systems Design Architect at Ciena since September 2021. Previous experience includes a role as Senior Staff Software Engineer at Juniper Networks, where significant contributions involved the evaluation and integration of advanced network features like Segment Routing-Traffic Engineering and various VPN solutions. Prior positions included Staff Engineer roles at Tellabs, focusing on product management and mobile backhauling solutions, and Sr R&D Expert at Orange Labs, specializing in backhaul architecture for mobile networks in the EMEA region. Earlier career stages included engineering and planning positions at Verizon, Equant, SITA EQUANT JV, and Halliburton, alongside an internship at IBM. Ahmed holds a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from George Mason University, an MBA in Marketing from Georgia State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Ain Shams University.
