Sarah Ivey has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Sarah began their career as a Research Intern at the University of Massachusetts Amherst Animal Science Department in 2008. Sarah then worked as a Research Intern at the Walker Lab in 2008-2009 and at the Clarkson Lab from 2010 to 2011. In 2009, Sarah took on the role of Assistant Coach at Northampton Community Rowing. Sarah further developed their coaching skills as the Head Coach at Little Harbor Boathouse in 2011.
Sarah's passion for coaching led their to Northeastern University, where they worked as the Assistant Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for the Women's Rowing program from 2011 to 2016. During their time at Northeastern, they were recognized for their contributions, receiving the Regional Staff of the Year award in 2015.
In 2016, Sarah transitioned into the corporate world, joining CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center). Sarah started as a Community Specialist and quickly progressed through various roles, including Executive Coordinator to the COO, Corporate Leadership Coordinator, Launch Site Lead, and Learning and Development Coordinator. Sarah's leadership skills and expertise in implementation were recognized, leading to their appointment as Implementation Lead and later Senior Implementation Lead for the Captains of Innovation team. Sarah also took on the role of Project Lead for the People Success Team from 2021 to 2022.
Sarah Ivey obtained a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration and Management, General from Northeastern University in 2015-2016. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Massachusetts Amherst in 2006-2010 with a focus on Biology, Molecular Biology, Exercise Psychology, and Genetics. Additionally, Sarah holds a certification in CPR and First Aid, although the details regarding the institution and date of completion are unknown.
