Sarah Voytek has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research and development. Sarah is currently working as the Senior Director of Translational Medicine at Chroma Medicine since February 2023. Prior to that, they were the Senior Director of Non-clinical & Translational Development and Program Leader at Abata Therapeutics from September 2021 to February 2023. Before their role at Abata Therapeutics, they held positions at bluebird bio as the Director of Preclinical & Translational Development from 2019 to 2021, and as the Associate Director of Preclinical & Translational Development from 2018 to 2019. Sarah also gained valuable experience at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR), where they held various roles including Senior Investigator I, Investigator II, and Principal Scientist in the field of Preclinical Safety from 2009 to 2018. Additionally, they had a brief stint as a Scientist in Research & Development at Intelligent BIo-Systems, Inc.- A Qiagen Company in 2009 and as a Doctoral Student at Scripps Research Institute from 2003 to 2009. Sarah started their career as an Intern in Research & Development at IBM in 2000.
Sarah Voytek received their Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology from Brown University in 2002. Sarah then pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Kellogg School of Science and Technology at Scripps Research from 2003 to 2009.
