Jelani Greenidge is an experienced missional storyteller and freelance writer, currently serving the Evangelical Covenant Church since October 2011 and contributing to Christianity Today as a freelance writer since November 2017. With a background in communication from North Park University, Jelani has written for various platforms, including COV Magazine, where work received an honorable mention from the Associated Church Press Association in 2020, and UrbanFaith.com, covering topics in popular culture. Jelani has held pastoral roles, including co-pastor at Sunset Covenant Church, and has experience as a music educator and consultant. Additional roles have included driving a school bus and serving as an emergency communication dispatch trainee. Originating from New York City and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Jelani is dedicated to justice and mutual flourishing through a blend of faith and creativity.
