Steve Backe-Hansen currently serves as the General Manager of Marketing, Brand & Communications at ChristchurchNZ, a position held since August 2021. Prior to this, Steve worked at Christchurch City Council as the Customer Experience Platform Manager and at the University of Canterbury in various digital management roles. Previous experience includes positions as Web Solutions Manager at Avatar Ltd., Senior Web Graphic Designer at Libros Media Ltd., and Web Designer & Developer at Artworks Web Design. Steve's educational background includes a Postgraduate Certificate in Strategic Leadership from the University of Canterbury, a Prince2 certification in Project Management from APMG-International, and a Bachelor of Information and Communications Technology with a focus on Multimedia, Business, Marketing, and Design from CPIT. Additionally, Steve holds a Certificate in Server Side Programming from CPIT.
