James Li has worked as a Technical Analyst at two companies. James began their career at Spark New Zealand in April 2011 and worked there until November 2012. In November 2012, they joined Chorus NZ Limited as a Technical Analyst and worked there until November 2021. In March 2021, they returned to Chorus NZ Limited as a Technical Analyst and worked until November 2021.

James Li has a strong educational background in data science and computing. James earned a Master of Professional Studies degree in Data Science from The University of Auckland in 2023. Prior to that, they completed a Graduate Diploma in Arts from the same university in 2012. In 2010, James obtained a Bachelor of Computing Systems degree from Unitec | Te PÅ«kenga. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained various certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. James completed certifications in SQL Fundamentals from DataCamp in March 2023, and Hands On Essentials - Data Applications, Data Sharing, and Data Warehouse from Snowflake in June 2022. James also obtained a Google Project Management: Specialization certification from Coursera in December 2021, and certifications in Tableau Fundamentals and Data Literacy Fundamentals from DataCamp in December and November 2021 respectively. Lastly, James earned a Google Data Analytics Certificate from Coursera in November 2021.
