Dave Beet has had a diverse work experience. Dave started their career as a Tradesman at Telecom in 1973 and worked there until 2009. During their time at Telecom, they held various roles including Senior Foreman. In 2002, they joined Downer New Zealand as a Field Tech, working there until 2005. Dave then moved to Chorus NZ Limited in 2009 as a Snr Delivery Specialist Quality.

Dave Beet attended Fairfield College from 1986 to 1999, where they obtained a School Certificate and 6th Form Certificate. Additionally, they earned another School Certificate and 6th Form Certificate, but the specific years for these achievements are unknown.
