Menno de Boer has been working in the software development industry since 2012. Menno'scareer began as a Bijlesdocent at Bijlesbureau StudentsPlus Nederland in 2012. Menno then moved on to become a Teaching Assistant at the Universiteit Utrecht in 2014. In 2018, they became a PhD Student at Stockholms universitet. Most recently, in 2020, they began working as a Backend Developer at Chordify - tune into chords.

Menno de Boer completed a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Astronomy from Utrecht University between 2012 and 2016. Menno then completed a Minor in Computer Science from Utrecht University in 2015-2016. In 2018-2020, they obtained their Licentiate of Philosophy in Mathematics from Stockholm University. Menno de Boer also obtained two additional certifications in 2020, a Functional Programming Principles in Scala certification from Coursera and a Learning Path: Haskell: Functional Programming and Haskell certification from Udemy.
