Nathan Johnson has worked in the software engineering industry since 2010. In 2010, they were a Project Manager and Sales Representative for Armour Exteriors. From 2011 to 2012, they were a Web Developer for Incrwd, Inc. During this time, they optimized web properties for user experience and cross-browser compatibility, designed and produced graphics and assets for multiple web properties, and created a customizable Wordpress social sharing widget. From 2012 to 2013, they were a Software Consultant while self-employed. From 2013 to 2015, they were a Software Developer for TalentRiot, where they built two BackboneJS applications for the Hootsuite platform, consolidated legacy applications, and designed and built an offline-first mobile voting solution. From 2015 to 2020, they were a Software Engineer II and Software Engineer II, Labs for Sovrn Holdings, Inc. During this time, they rapidly prototyped alternative experiences for 1M+ ad-block users, built a suite of A/B testing-compatible analytics, management, and configuration dashboards, and guided transition to React from legacy Javascript with Java microservices. Currently, they are a Senior Software Engineer for Choozle since 2021.

Nathan Johnson's education history includes completing a Cloud Developer Nanodegree at Udacity in 2020, applying to a Master of Liberal Arts in Digital Media Arts and Instructional Design at the Harvard Extension School from 2011 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Engineering from the University of Wyoming between 2003 and 2009, and graduating from Sheridan High School.
