Ying Mi has been working in the tech industry since 2012. Ying began their career at VMware as a Software Test Engineer in 2012. In 2016, they joined Muse: the brain sensing headband as a QA Analyst, and later took on an additional role as an Intern QA Analyst.

Ying Mi received a Master's Degree in Applied Computing from the University of Windsor between 2015 and 2017.
