Ashley Schouten is an experienced educator with a focus on early childhood education and teaching. Since July 2013, Ashley has served as a Second Grade Teacher and Social Media Coordinator at Choice Schools Associates, where responsibilities include developing and implementing a Common Core-aligned curriculum for diverse learners and evaluating student progress for tailored interventions. Prior roles include tutoring at-risk high school students with the TRiO Upward Bound Program at Muskegon Community College, substituting for teachers, student teaching in kindergarten, and intern positions at both early childhood and elementary levels, all contributing to a robust skill set in lesson planning and student engagement. Ashley holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Western Michigan University.
