Kamia Punia is a highly experienced scientist specializing in downstream process development and protein engineering. Currently serving as Senior Scientist I at Chobani since June 2021, Kamia has optimized various downstream purification processes, including tangential flow filtration and chromatography techniques, and conducted analytical characterization. Prior to this role, Kamia held a postdoctoral researcher position at NYU Tandon School of Engineering, focusing on plasmid construction and protein purification. Kamia has a strong academic background, with a Ph.D. in Chemistry from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, where research centered on peptide-mimetic polymers.
