Dylan Derstine has a diverse range of work experience. Dylan worked at CHL Systems as a Mechanical Design and DriveWorks Integration Engineer, where they developed conveyance systems for the food and pharmaceutical industries, designed new systems, and retrofitted existing machines to increase efficiency. Dylan also gained practical knowledge on manufacturing techniques and observed sales calls and project management meetings as a Sales Intern at CHL Systems. At Messiah University, Dylan served as a Student Project Manager, leading a team of engineering students to provide a sustainable trolley design for hospitals in Nepal. Dylan created SMART goals, milestones, and defined the project scope. Prior to that, Dylan worked at CNH Industrial as a Vehicle Integrations Design Engineer, contributing to current and future product design, developing a preliminary design concept for an aftermarket belt guide, and assisting with prototype assembly and field tests for a round baler.
Dylan Derstine attended Messiah University from 2017 to 2021, where they pursued a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
