Rory MacLeod has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rory started their career in 1989 as a Ship Surveyor at Lloyd's Register and held this position until 2004. In 1996, they joined Allied Domecq Spirits Wine as a Dry Goods Manager, and later became a Project Manager from 2002 to 2005. In 2005, they joined Chivas Brothers as a Packaging Engineer, and subsequently held roles such as Manufacturing Quality Manager from 2011 to 2014, Quality Manager from 2014 to 2017, and Bottling Operations Manager from 2018 to 2020. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Quality at Chivas Brothers.
Rory MacLeod began their education at Rothesay Academy, where they studied from 1979 to 1985. Rory then pursued a degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering at the University of Glasgow from 1985 to 1989. Following their undergraduate studies, MacLeod attended Strathclyde Business School and earned a Masters of Business Administration from 1994 to 1995. In addition to their formal education, they obtained a Diploma in Packaging Technology from The Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) in August 2009. Rory also holds the professional certification of Chartered Engineer from The Royal Institution of Naval Architects, although the exact year and month of obtaining this certification is not provided.
