Erik Kocher, PMP

Erik Kocher, PMP has a diverse and extensive work experience history. Erik began their career in the US Navy as a Lieutenant, serving from December 1976 to January 1984. At Boeing, they worked for over three decades in various roles, including Experimental Test Pilot, Project Test Pilot, Engineering Pilot, Production Pilot, and Instructor Pilot, starting in January 1984 to September 2018 when they retired. During their time at Boeing, Erik advanced through key roles, gaining expertise in engineering project management, quality management, marketing, training and instruction, and test pilot activities. Erik managed high-profile engineering projects for both military and commercial customers, providing technical expertise from proposal, through flight testing, test data analysis, performance reporting, and final acceptance. In 2019, Erik joined Chipton Ross where they currently serve as a System Engineer.

Erik Kocher, PMP holds a Master of Science degree in Quality Systems Management from The National Graduate School of Quality Management (NGS). Erik obtained this degree at an undisclosed time. Prior to that, Erik completed their Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they studied from 1971 to 1976. Before entering higher education, Erik attended San Ramon Valley High School.

In addition to their formal education, Erik has obtained several certifications. Erik completed courses on Project Management Foundations and Project Management: Calculating Earned Value from LinkedIn in May 2019 and January 2019 respectively. Erik also holds a Remote Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) since January 2017. Erik further achieved certifications in Airline Transport Pilot - Rotorcraft Helicopter BV234, Commercial Privileges - Airplane Single & Multi Land, and Instrument Airplane ; BV107 from the FAA in February 2004. Furthermore, Erik earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute in September 2019. Lastly, they obtained the Certified Flight Instructor - Rotorcraft certification from the FAA in January 2016.
