Juan Carlos B. has over 10 years of experience in the software engineering field. Juan Carlos started their career at Asesoria y Sistemas Back Office (Asisbo) in 2009 as a Software Engineer. Juan Carlos then worked as a Developer at SONDA from 2010 to 2011, and as a Senior Developer at AFP Cuprum from 2011 to 2012.

In 2013, Juan worked at Banco Consorcio as a Software Engineer, and later moved to BancoEstado as a Senior Software Engineer. Juan Carlos also worked at SENCE (Servicio Nacional de Capacitación y Empleo) Chile in the same role.

From 2014 to 2019, Juan worked at Grupo AFEX as a Lead Software Engineer. Juan Carlos'sresponsibilities included building a new web platform for currency trading and pushing for the migration of the local data center to AWS.

In 2019, they joined Klap as a Senior Software Engineer, and is currently working at Chipax in the role of Lead Software Engineer. In their current position, Juan is responsible for helping small and medium-sized businesses with their financial needs using SaaS software and designing scalable infrastructure using AWS technologies.

Throughout their career, Juan has gained expertise in AWS, CI/CD, and backend and frontend development.

Juan Carlos B. attended Duoc UC from 2005 to 2009, where they completed a Grado en Ingeniería (Bachelor's degree) in Ingeniería informática (Computer Engineering). Juan Carlos then continued their education at Duoc UC from 2006 to 2009 and obtained an Ingeniero en Informática (Engineer in Informatics) degree.
