Dr. Gulnara Hein has worked in the information security field since 2005. Dr. Gulnara began their career at Infotecs as a SQA Engineer in the QA department. In 2006, they moved to IT Co as an Analyst in the Department of the Information Security Systems, where they developed design specifications and technical proposals for information security solutions. From 2007 to 2015, they worked at Cargill in various roles, including Application Security Analyst, Infrastructure Security Analyst, and Information Protection Coordinator for Russia. In 2015, they joined PwC as an Information Security Officer, where they developed security requirements for Cloud Service Providers for German Member Firm and performed risk assessments of business applications. From 2017 to 2022, they worked at Deutsche Börse as Information Security Framework & Governance, IS Risk Lead, where they designed and implemented Threat Landscape analysis process and led Risk Landscape development. Currently, they are the Chief Information Security Officer at Chintai.
Dr. Gulnara Hein's education history began in 1995 when they attended Kolmogorov school #18, where they studied Mathematics. Dr. Gulnara then went on to receive their Master's degree in Applied Mathematics / Information Security from the Moscow Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University) in 2003. Lastly, they obtained their PhD in Discrete Mathematics from M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2008. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Hein has obtained several certifications, including BAIT - IT-Risiken im Fokus der Aufsicht from Management Circle AG in 2020, FAIR Analysis Fundamentals from RiskLens in 2020, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer - Information Security Certification from APMG International in 2019, Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) from ISACA in 2018, and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from International Information Systems Security Certification Consortium (ISC2) in 2009.
