Li-Qun Xu serves as the Chief Scientist at the Research Institute of China Mobile Communications Corporation since April 2010, focusing on M2M and mHealth applications, business strategy, and research competency development. Xu also holds the position of Consulting Professor at Beijing Jiaotong University since July 2009. Prior roles include Principal Technical Consultant at BT, leading various research themes in video analytics and multimedia applications, and overseeing high-impact projects in surveillance and collaborative technologies. Xu began a career in research and academia with positions at institutions such as the University of Abertay Dundee and King's College London. Xu holds a PhD and MSc in Communications and Electronic Systems, alongside a Postdoctoral Fellowship in Information Systems.
