Lars Nilsson has extensive work experience in the automotive and aerospace industries. Lars started their career in 1990 as an Inspector at Volvo Flygmotor AB, where they worked on the main assembly of fighter jet engines. Lars then moved to Saab Automobile AB in 1996 as a Development Engineer, specializing in crash performance. Lars later became the Performance Integration Manager for Vehicle Safety and eventually the Manager of Crash Testing and Performance. In 2012, Lars joined GKN Aerospace as a Component Manager. Currently, Lars is employed at CEVT, where they hold the positions of Module Team Director for Attributes and Head of Vehicle Integration. In their role at CEVT, they are responsible for setting requirements and evaluating the performance of various vehicle attributes.

From 1985 to 1989, they attended Nils Ericson Gymnasiet, where they obtained an Engineer's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at KTH Royal Institute of Technology from 1991 to 1996, earning a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering.
