Daniel Sheyner has worked in a variety of roles in the financial industry since 2005. Daniel began their career as a Consultant for Oliver Wyman in 2005. In 2007, they took on the role of Fellow for Kiva.org. In 2008, they became an Associate for Fidelity Equity Partners. In 2009, they moved to Bain Capital where they also held the role of Associate. In 2014, they worked as an Analyst for Atika Capital Management. Since 2017, they have been the Founder, Managing Member, and Co-Chief Investment Officer of Chimera Capital Management, LLC.

Daniel Sheyner attended Milton Academy from 1997 to 2001. Daniel then went on to Northwestern University where they earned a BA in Mathematical Methods in Social Sciences (MMSS) and Economics in 2005. Finally, they completed their MBA from Harvard Business School in 2014.
