Anson Yao is a Senior Software Engineer at Chime, where responsibilities include the development of the Pay Anyone peer-to-peer payment system, benefiting millions of users each month. In addition to P2P payment work, Anson has experience with admin tools, risk control integration, A/B testing, and incentives. Prior to Chime, Anson served as a Software Engineer at TTT Studios from June 2016 to September 2019. Anson holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia and has a Master’s Degree in Information Systems and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Peking University.
