James Bennett has extensive experience in the railway industry, currently serving as Operations Standards Manager for the East to West project at Chiltern Railways since December 2024. Prior to this role, James was with East Midlands Railway from November 2019 to December 2024 in various capacities including Driver Manager and Safety Change Business Partner, working on the EPIU project. James also has a background in train driving, covering high-speed routes, and has held positions as Operational Trainer at MTR Corporation (Crossrail) Limited, Operations and Simulator Manager for GTR, and Operations Investigation Manager at First Great Western. James's educational background includes GCSEs in English and Maths from John Hanson School, completed in 1989.
