Anthony Benitez has a strong background in IT and healthcare informatics. Anthony started their career as an IT Systems Manager at Rheumatology Research International, where they played a pivotal role in developing and implementing ACS Study Manager. Anthony also provided extensive reporting and research data mining to track corporate revenue.
Anthony then worked as a Certified Medical Office Manager at Valley Ranch Pediatrics, where they implemented a practice management system and managed the revenue cycle and budgets.
After that, Anthony joined Children's Medical Center Dallas, where they held various roles, including Group Manager in both Information Services (Clinical Applications) and Business Applications. Anthony was responsible for supporting and implementing ERP systems, such as Lawson and Kronos. Anthony also managed application teams, provided support for Epic system architecture, and oversaw the implementation of various clinical and technical applications.
Anthony then moved on to JPS Health Network, where they served as the Director of System Applications. In this role, they provided strategic input and coordinated system-wide initiatives, with a focus on Lawson ERP system, Kronos WFC, Epic HB/PB applications, and Trizetto QicLink.
Currently, Anthony holds the position of Senior Director at Children's Health. Anthony first served as the Senior Director of IT, Population Health Informatics and Technology, where they led the planning and execution of technology functions related to population health initiatives. Anthony then transitioned into the role of Senior Director of IT, Advanced Analytics & Informatics, where they centralized and developed reporting teams and implemented advanced analytics techniques, including AI, NLP, and machine learning, to enhance clinical data science and operational performance metrics.
Anthony Benitez attended Southern Methodist University from 2000 to 2001, studying Music Performance, General. Prior to that, they completed their education at the University of North Texas from 1986 to 1991, focusing on Education. In terms of additional certifications, Anthony obtained the A2E Business Fundamentals certification from McKinsey & Company in 2022 and the CompTIA Project+ (Project Management) certification from CompTIA in 2016.
