Judith Sandalow is an accomplished legal professional with extensive experience in advocating for children's rights. As the Executive Director of the Children's Law Center since January 2000, Judith has dedicated efforts to ensure that every child in Washington, DC, has access to a loving family, essential health care, and quality education. Prior to this role, Judith functioned as a Deputy Monitor for the U.S. District Court, overseeing compliance with consent decrees related to the DC Department of Corrections. Judith's legal career also includes serving as an Attorney representing indigent defendants, an Adjunct Professor and Supervising Attorney at DC Law Students in Court, and a Prettyman Fellow at Georgetown University Law Center. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor from Yale Law School and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Swarthmore College.
