Cindy Athey, MS, MCAP, DOT Qualified SAP, is a seasoned professional in the field of mental health and substance abuse counseling, currently serving as a Licensed Substance Abuse Counselor and DOT Qualified SAP at Positive Directions Counseling Inc since May 2018, where the focus is on helping adults and teens overcome addiction. Concurrently, Cindy provides outpatient therapy at Children's Home Network, conducting biopsychosocial assessments for clients in Pinellas County. With previous experience as a Behavioral Coach at AbleTo Inc., outpatient therapist roles at Solutions Behavioral Healthcare Consultants and Suncoast Center, and as an Addiction Counselor with CRC Health Group, Cindy has developed a comprehensive skill set to facilitate individual and group therapies, assess client needs, and implement effective treatment plans. Educational achievements include a Master of Science in Psychology with an Addictions Specialization from Kaplan University and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Corrections from the University of Baltimore.
