Julie Blechman, MPH, CHES, is a seasoned health communications professional with extensive experience in research communications and strategic outreach. Currently serving as a Research Communications Specialist I at Child Trends since February 2019, Julie previously held the role of Health Communications Manager. Prior to this, Julie worked at the Association for Professionals in Infection Control and Epidemiology (APIC) from 2014 to 2019, where Julie led a major patient safety campaign and managed social media initiatives. Julie's foundational experience includes serving as a Policy Associate at Forward Solutions and various roles that focused on health communications and public health outcomes. Julie holds a Master of Public Health in Public Health Communication and Social Marketing from The George Washington University and a Bachelor of Science in Health Science from the University of Miami.
