Erica Kirkwood serves as Vice President and General Counsel at GMA Construction Group, providing executive oversight on contract negotiations, compliance, and human resources. As a fellow in the Chicago Urban League's IMPACT Leadership Program, Erica aids in promoting racial parity in leadership roles. Erica also holds the presidency of the Black Women Lawyers' Association of Greater Chicago, focusing on enhancing the success of black women in the legal profession. Previous roles include Deputy General Counsel for the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, where Erica managed legal teams and compliance issues, and Attorney at Kirkwood Law Group, handling various commercial transactions and litigation. Erica's legal career began as an Investigator/Attorney for the City of Chicago, dealing with consumer fraud and regulatory matters. Erica earned a Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in Litigation from Cooley Law School.
