Allison Terry has a diverse work experience in the field of photography and multimedia journalism. Allison started their career as a Freelance Visual Journalist at the Chicago Tribune Media Group in 2017. Prior to that, they owned and operated their own portrait and event photography business, Allison Terry Images, specializing in various types of photography.

Allison also worked as a Freelance Multimedia Journalist for Lubbock Magazine, where they photographed and edited images for the magazine. Allison was responsible for capturing portraits, keynote speakers, human interest stories, and food-related content. Additionally, Allison worked as a Photography and Film Instructor at Moonlight Arts Academy, teaching photography skills and film production to young students.

Furthermore, Allison gained experience as a Freelance Multimedia Journalist for the Lubbock Avalanche-Journal, where they were involved in photography, video creation, and writing. Allison'sassignments included sporting events, human interest pieces, features, and local news stories. Allison also worked part-time as a Video Producer at Texas Tech University School of Art.

Allison's work experience also includes a role as a Production Intern at KTTZ-TV, where they assisted in shooting and editing local shows and web series. Allison also contributed to the production of short films and provided support in public relations for an upcoming documentary. Moreover, they served as the News Director for The HUB@TTU, a digital student publication, where they wrote, photographed, made videos, and created infographics and interactive story maps and timelines.

Earlier in their career, Allison started at Plainsman Press as a staff writer and photographer, and gradually progressed to become the Editor-in-Chief. As the Editor-in-Chief, they managed the business side of the publication, oversaw a 20-person staff, and was responsible for writing copy, designing layouts, selling advertisements, and copy editing.

Allison Terry completed their Associate of Arts (A.A.) degree in Print Journalism and Photojournalism at South Plains College from 2012 to 2014. Allison then pursued their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Electronic Media and Communications at Texas Tech University from 2015 to 2016.
