Joey Gelman is an experienced communications professional specializing in sports media and digital content. Currently serving as the Sports Communications Manager for Chicago Public Schools since March 2021, Joey oversees a team of content producers and manages all internal and external communications for the Office of Sports Administration, promoting the achievements of student-athletes and teams. Additionally, Joey is a Podcast Content Strategist, Producer, and Host for the BLEAV Podcast Network, leading promotional strategies and content creation. Previous roles include Executive Podcast Producer for Entercom, Digital Producer and Writer for Sports Mockery, and Executive Producer at WGN Radio, showcasing a diverse background in multimedia production and sports marketing. Joey holds a Bachelor¡¯s Degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a minor in Spanish.
