Aaron Chappell

Chicago Major Auto Theft Investigations at Chicago Police

Aaron Chappell, MS, BA, has been a dedicated member of the Chicago Police Department since July 2007, holding various titles including Chicago Major Auto Theft Investigations and Superintendent of Police Security Detail. Chappell's responsibilities have included providing driver and security services for the Superintendent of Police, responding to major incidents as a Tactical Officer in the 001st District, and training police recruits as a Field Training Officer. Chappell has also contributed to crime suppression efforts as a member of the Area 5/Area North saturation team and as a Mobile Strike Force Officer, alongside serving as a patrol officer in the 009th District. In addition to law enforcement experience, Chappell has worked as an Authenticator for Major League Baseball since March 2021 and previously served as a Youth Counselor. Academically, Chappell earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice and Sociology from Loras College and a Master's in Public Safety Administration from Lewis University.
