Leslie Reese is an experienced poetry teaching artist currently contributing to The Gloster Arts Project since June 2021, which provides a free summer arts camp for youth in Gloster, Mississippi, fostering creativity and self-esteem. Additionally, Leslie serves as a Poet-in-Residence/Teaching Artist with the Chicago Poetry Center's "Hands on Stanzas" program since November 2019. Previous roles include Programs Manager at Literacy Chicago (2012-2013), Visitor Services Assistant at the Art Institute of Chicago (2007-2010), and Visitor Services Supervisor at the Detroit Institute of Arts (1999-2005). Leslie holds a Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Arts from Columbia College Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in English, History, and Education from Alabama A & M University.
