Gregory Geffrard is an accomplished theatre professional currently serving as an Assistant Professor and Associate Artistic Director at Brenau University while also holding the position of Chair of Strategic Planning for the Association of Theatre Movement Educators. With extensive experience in facilitating workshops and programs, Geffrard has contributed to the Chicago Poetry Center and has worked as a Resident Intimacy Consultant at Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Previous roles include serving as Executive Director of Innovation 80, where efforts focused on supporting historically excluded communities in Chicago, and as a Lead Facilitator of Professional Development at Steppenwolf, emphasizing Aesthetic Education. Geffrard also has a background in education as a Practitioner-In-Residence at Columbia College Chicago and has played a significant role in sexual assault prevention education for military personnel, contributing to a notable reduction in incidents. Geffrard holds a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre from the University of South Florida.
