Lisa Frye has a diverse work experience that spans over several years. Lisa is currently working as a Web Designer at the Chicago Botanic Garden since 2022. In 2020, Lisa worked as a Freelancer at Lisa Frye Design, where they were responsible for creating websites, developing branding and logos, and managing a digital team. Prior to that, from 2013 to 2020, they were an Art Design Coordinator at the City of Evanston, where they coordinated art projects. Lisa also worked as a Graphic Designer at Steppenwolf Theatre Company from 2012 to 2013. Lisa has experience as a Freelancer at Various Design Studios from 2011 to 2012 and as a Creative Manager at Ignite USA, Contigo in 2011. Lisa has a strong background in the design field, particularly in the corporate graphics and packaging areas. Lisa worked at Crate & Barrel from 2002 to 2011, starting as a Senior Art Director and later as an Art Director and Senior Designer. Lisa also has experience as an Associate Art Director at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia from 1999 to 2002. Lisa began their career as an Intern/Designer at George Tscherny in 1996 and also worked as a Freelance Designer at High Design in 1998.

Lisa Frye completed their BA in Fashion Merchandise at Marymount University. Lisa then pursued Graduate Studies in Communications Design at Pratt Institute from 1991 to 1992. Afterwards, they attended the School of Visual Arts and earned their BFA in Graphic Design from 1993 to 1997. In 2020, Lisa obtained a Certificate of completion in User Experience Design from General Assembly. Additionally, they are currently pursuing Graduate Studies in MS HCI (Human Computer Interaction) at DePaul University, which they started in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2024.
