Karen Author is an experienced accounts payable professional with a diverse background in financial management. Currently serving as an AP Accountant & Associate Lead at Chevron since August 2023, Karen is in a transitional role and actively seeking new opportunities for summer 2024. Prior to Chevron, Karen held positions at PDC Energy, Inc. and Sovos Brands, where Karen successfully managed accounts payable across multiple brands and ERP systems. With a strong foundation in accounting established at Somatogen Inc. and a solid education in Finance and Accounting from Front Range Community College, Karen has consistently demonstrated expertise in department development, team building, and process improvement throughout a career spanning over three decades.
