Jose Antonio Camargo is an experienced auditor currently serving as the Lead Auditor in the Corporate Audit Department at Chevron since January 2021. In this role, Jose conducts audits of key contractors across global Upstream, Midstream, and Downstream & Chemicals businesses, focusing on contract compliance, billing accuracy, and spend efficiency. Prior to Chevron, Jose was a Senior Consultant at IMR & Asociados, where effective solutions were delivered to companies in the Argentine Oil & Gas industry. Jose's extensive experience also includes a significant tenure at PDVSA Petróleos de Venezuela S.A., where roles evolved from Internal Auditor to Acting Manager, leading various audits across accounting, operational, and compliance processes. Earlier career experience includes positions at Sodexo in internal audit roles. Jose Antonio Camargo holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Accountancy from Universidad de los Andes.
